Seventy $15,000 scholarships are awarded each year to be used over four years of undergraduate study. Selection is based on financial need and academic ability. Available to graduating seniors of high schools in the following counties: Harris, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Liberty, Montgomery and Waller. You must be a United States citizen to apply.

Request information in writing, identifying yourself as a high school senior and provide the name of your high school; or after August 15 of your senior year, download that year's application from their web site.

Deadline for receipt of completed application and required attachments in one package is 4:00pm February 26 of the student's senior year.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program annually awards 50 scholarships of $20,000 each and 200 scholarships of $10,000 each to current or home school seniors. Selection is based upon character, personal merit and commitment. Merit is demonstrated through leadership in school, civic and extracurricular activities, academic achievement, and motivation to serve and succeed. Visit website for details. WCJC ABE conducts Adult Basic Education and Adult Secondary classes throughout Fort Bend, Colorado Matagorda, and Wharton counties. Our program delivers instruction for GED preparation; improves basic academic skills such as reading, math, and writing; and develops speaking and writing communication skills for ESL students. WCJC Adult Basic Education offers courses during the day and evenings to accommodate busy schedules. All instructional services, including books, are free.

English-as-a-2nd-language for adults (18+) In homes where the parents do NOT speak English, the children are at higher risk of dropping out. Parents can't help with or monitor homework; can't communicate with teachers, and thus don't have the ability to effectively prevent dropping out.

Providing crisis intervention, case management, counseling, educational outreach, job placement assistance, housing assistance, and whatever is needed to help a survivor of domestic violence or sexual assault become safe and self-sufficient. To be eligible for programs, clients must be survivors of domestic abuse(physical, emotional, verbal) or sexual assault. Work to help women and their children remain self-sufficient so that they never have to return to an abusive relationship.

Trained volunteers serve as Guardians ad Litem (CASA Volunteers) to provide advocacy for children in the foster care system. Clinical staff provides forensic interviews and free therapy to child victims of abuse.

Provides part-time employment while you are enrolled in school. Available to undergraduate and graduate students. Available to full-time and part-time students. Encourages community service work and work related to your course of study, whenever possible. Earn at least the current federal minimum wage: undergraduate students are paid by the hour. Money is earned while attending school and does not have to be repaid. For undergraduate and graduate students. Jobs can be on campus. Student must demonstrate financial need.
