  1. Well, and she knows that there's something not quite right about burning books. Liesel's own books are so precious to her, I agree. Pretty appalled, from the burning pile of books. This conflict helps drive Liesel to steal her second book, I imagine - and rightfully so.

  2. The book anv MKPF! I think there are a few reasons here. Her immediate response to the hatred espoused by the Nazi speaker is one of friendship. In fact, they are coming for Rudy.
